Join this class to create your very own mug and jug to delight your friends, family - or just yourself every morning with a cuppa!

Over 4 hours, we'll show you how to hand build a gorgeous creation that you can adapt with your own personality. We can walk you through how to create a variety of handles (there are SO many to choose from - take a look at the photo's) and adornments, all to create your very own unique piece.

You'll be working with 'slips', which are coloured clays, to decorate your pieces and you can also work with stencils and textures.

This class is a maximum of 6 people, so you'll be assured of access to Jude's expertise over the duration of the 4 hour class.

You'll walk away with 1 x mug and 1 x jug, which will be glaze fired and ready for collection a few weeks after your class - you'll be notified as soon as it's ready!

Session times:  9:30am - 1:30pm (no late arrival/pick-up please)
Class Date:  Wednesday 17 May or Wednesday 24 May
Group sizes:  Limited to 6 per session (minimum 4 for class to proceed)

Knowledge required

Some prior knowledge is required (particularly around manipulating shape) - why not join a Saturday morning 'Clay Experience' workshop with us first?

What you'll get

  • All tools, 2kg clay, coloured slip 'glaze', firing.
  • Tea and coffee - although Fonzie Abbot is just across the road for a barista-made caffeine hit!
  • Three hours of expert teaching and guidance from studio owner, Jude, who has been honing her craft and talent for the past four decades.
  • Students can pick up their finished pieces a few weeks (could be up to four weeks) after the class as we need to allow this time for the kiln to fill up and your pieces to be fired twice. Your pieces will be dishwasher, microwave, ovenproof and food safe.
  • An email will be sent when your wonderful creation is ready to adorn your table.

 What to bring

  • Old clothes or an apron
  • Closed-toe and slip-proof shoes
  • No jewellery
  • Hair tied up
  • But most importantly - bring your imagination, we know you've got a tonne of amazing ideas in you!
